There are lots of facets that must be considered when it comes to figuring this all out. At the end of the day though, if Apple got an unfair advantage via state aid, well then they'll have to pay. But if they didn't, and this is an over reach by the EU to try and meddle in our sovereign tax affairs by proxy, well that's an issue too. WhatsApp are now sharing certain data about you with Facebook (and other subsidiaries). From a company who have always been pro privacy - this isn't very pro privacy at all. Check out this great TechCrunch piece on it and how to opt out
More changes for Messenger - Instant Video. So basically when you're having a Messenger chat with someone and you're both online - you can send wee videos to each other. Wait. Doesn't Snapchat let you do that? Hmmmm
Facebook Trending news has been taking a bit of a kicking of late. From fake stories making the list and the announcement that they're getting rid of human curators, people just don't trust it. Here's a story from inside the team.
YouTube have changed their T&Cs about the kind of content that producers can earn advertising monies from. So if YouTube think it's not advertiser friendly, no ads. But what if the brand wants 'edgy'? Not sure they got this right.
