How many iPhone 7s needed to pay #AppleTax?
The iPhone 7 went on sale this morning and predictably there were queues outside Apple stores to buy them. Predictably they'll sell out too, leaving many disappointed that they didn't get one. That's fine. I can live with that. My problem is this thing where the staff clap and cheer for the first people in the stores to get one. Like that person has achieved something huge. Let's not lose perspective. It's a phone.
This is a welcome move from Instagram. They've rolled out a comment filter to all users that will allow them to block keywords so that they don't show up on their images. Now maybe Twitter could follow suit?
Facebook users aren't commenting about personal stuff as much. So it looks like Facebook are testing something to change that. Check out this piece in Mashableabout a 'What Friends are talking about' thing.
This week's covetable item is a total non essential. What it is, is Lego. And it's glorious. It's a fully functional scale giant excavator. Just look at it. And it's huge. If you're into Lego, like I am, you'll want one.
Twitter rolled out a new feature too. This one for companies who use the channel for Customer Service. Basically it makes it easier to use and a better experience for customer and company. Check out the details here
Every now and then I point you to an article that you should read. This is one such piece. It's a piece about 9/11 and Air Force One and it's probably got lots of stuff that you've never heard before. It's a great piece.
|Twitter streamed it's first NFL game last night (Thursday Night Football) showing the Jets take on and beat the Bills in a tight match. And it seems to have been a great success. How long before the EPL follows suit?|
If you've got an iPhone, you'll likely have noticed the notification bubble on your settings. iOS 10 has landed. But if you've not already updated, maybe wait. It's causing some problems for some users.
Lots of interesting developments in the last couple of weeks, and some things I didn't have space for. Like the fact that the Galaxy Note 7 seems to want to burst into flames at every given opportunity! But I do my best!
